Additionally, j’ m publishing is willing to pitch your song(s) deeper into the recording and film industries, if your song(s) strongly exude highly artistic and appealing value truly deserving such exposure. j’ m publishing is affiliated with the independent label j’ mar records and have, in the past, arranged contracts for artists with that label. We have also placed several songs with popular artists on labels like BMG, Avex(Taiwan), and Jam Records. Your song can potentially be the right fit for a soundtrack of a film. If you truly believe that your music deserve high-level recognition, j’ m publishing will realistically devote its efforts toward advancing your songs towards the credibility they merit.

Song Submission and Review Process

If it does then we will send you the link to our publishing contract and we can start making your dream come true.

Song Submission/ Catalog Agreement and Terms
Please use this song submission and catalog agreement and terms as a guide to submit your songs. The steps are as follows:

1. Read agreement and decide if this is agreeable to you.

2. Print the agreement form to fill out and sign.

3. Mail agreement to the address indicated below.

4. Please make sure to include your email address in the form. A copy will be mailed back to you signed by j' m publishing.

5. When we have received the signed agreement, we will need the following:

a. A CD of your songs and a lyric sheet. b. A photo can be included but not required. c. A brief biography, a couple of paragraphs. d. Include three keywords for the database look up for each song, such as genre or any word that would be significant to the song. Subject matter is important for someone looking for film or advertising.

Within 4 business days we receive your information, we will have you in our database and song catalog.

Reminder to Songwriters
Any agreement that is or will be presented can be refused by the right of the songwriter. This agreement is NOT a publishing agreement, rather a catalog internet agreement.

It is an opportunity for both the songwriter and the publishing management to be able to come this far. We open the right for any other publishers to publish your song. j'm publishing will get 25% of the publishing rights. A publishing contract can be decided according to any negotiations involved, which you can agree to or refuse.

The reality of the music business is that it will be harder to negotiate with bigger and more successful artists. A pay advance can be made if a larger and more prominent artist(s) has confidence that your song will definitely make money for him/her/them. This pay advance takes place when the artist(s) is interested and knows the song will be successful. Artists may also request a hold on the song for a certain period of time to prevent other people from using it during this predetermined time frame. Yet, as the songwriter, you will have final say to decide whether it is beneficial for you to take a song out of commission for this time period.
