Born in the northern part of the Shan State in Burma, Maran grew up in a very musical family. The door to music opened when he started to sing every week at the age of eight in his family's religious band at church. Church members began to recognize his exceptionally sounding voice and encouraged him to sing more. Jaw Maran further continued his musical aspirations at the age of eleven when he learned to play the guitar and later picked up the piano by the age of fifteen. Only spending a couple weeks time and a month with his respective teachers of guitar and piano, Maran developed into a self-learner as he improved his skills and talents with these two beautiful instruments. At the age of eighteen, Maran began working in leading tobacco cooperation in Burma, while producing movie and music related fashion show, live concerts, and several other events. Wanting to achieve more, Maran later attended music university in Osaka, Japan and Berklee College of Music in Boston, United States with several scholarships. While attending Berklee, Maran also worked as a freelance songwriter, producer, and engineer, mainly in the areas of Boston, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. As he became busier with his freelance work, and his music network grew larger, Maran believed he was ready to delve into the music industry’s opportunities for success in the United States. Astoundingly, Maran founded and launched his own international music business called Living Sound Entertainment, which includes the music and film aspects of the studios, productions, records, and publishing. Now, Maran has grown into the well-rounded entertainment industry leader that he aspired to be. Maran continues to excel as a music artist as he strives to become the best and most highly reputable Asian singer/songwriter/producer/engineer in the United States, Japan, Burma, and all other Asian countries. He is detail-orientated with a very good head on his shoulders. Staying away from drugs and alcohol, Maran presents himself as a trustworthy businessman. In today’s industry, it is very easy to fall into a downward spiral with these temptations, but Maran continues to stay true to himself, allowing him to respectively stay true to his clients and business partners. His passion for music and entertainment is enviable and his business whit is sharp- a lethal combination which will no doubt drive this man to be even more successful than he already has become. |
